i like the two city hall and Slanted Door. They the two have a large exciting ecosystem and stunning nutrition. Slanted Door is large for a occasion when you consider which you are able to choose a gaggle of scrumptious small plates to proportion and you apart from mght get to relish the ferry construction ecosystem together as you're there. Make reservations for the two- they get busy! have exciting.

Go to North Beach and park your car as close to Broadway and Columbus as possible. Roam around and find a place in that neighborhood. You can stay within budget, no problem if you go easy on the wine. There are so many restaurants in that area.

Cafe Claude should work, if you don't go overboard on wine. In the FiDi on Claude Alley, a little hard to find but well worth the effort.

Hit Clement, there are a few Thai places as well as sushi places. With 80 dollars I would lean towards the Thai. I never had Indian food in San Fran.

I recommend "The slanted door" if you like Asian food. Their prix fixe dinner menu is $45 per person, but doesn't include drinks. You might go for the à la carte which you could probably manage for under $40 per person.

If you feel like crossing the bridge, I would recommend "Chez Panisse" in Berkeley. The upstairs café is very reasonable. www.chezpanisse.com

Pante Re at the corner of Columbus and green is one of the BEST Italian places in the city you should both be able to eat:appetizers, meal and dessert and get a good bottle of wine for 80$ PS the alfredo is one of their best sauces

If you like Italian, I would highly recommend Rose Pistola. I ate their recently (with my wife) on a visit to SF and it was fantastic. A charming place with great service.

If its just you and him, 40 shells a piece will cover just about any nice restaurant.

Red Lobster is one of my favs.

or Black Angus is good.

when in doubt, go with McDonald's dollar menu.
